On February 28, 2020, a Cook County jury returned a verdict in favor of our client, a major vehicle manufacturer, after a two-week trial in a case involving alleged exposure to asbestos. Plaintiff, a 47-year-old, was a professional mechanic from 1992-2000. The plaintiffs’ attorneys asked the jury for a verdict in excess of $45 million. The jury returned a verdict in favor of our client after 4 hours of deliberation. Trial counsel from SDH included Manny Sanchez, Renee Ziolkowski, Mark Winters and Shreena Amin.
